Good to know

Your questions, answered

Are dogs allowed on Cornish beaches?
Many are, all year round — including Watergate Bay, Mawgan Porth, Crantock and Holywell Bay. Some popular beaches, such as parts of Newquay's, have seasonal restrictions between May and September, usually in the daytime only. We keep beach-by-beach notes for every home, so just ask before you book.
How many dogs can I bring?
Most of our dog-friendly homes welcome one or two dogs, and a few take more. Each property page shows its own limit, and you can filter your search by the number of dogs travelling with you.
Is there a charge for bringing a dog?
A small cleaning contribution per dog applies at most homes — it's shown clearly in the price breakdown before you book, so there are no surprises.
What should I pack for my dog?
Bring their bed, bowls, food and any medication, plus towels for sandy paws. Several of our homes have enclosed gardens and outdoor taps or hoses, which makes life after the beach much easier.
Are there dog-friendly pubs and cafés nearby?
Yes — Cornwall is famously welcoming to dogs. Most village pubs keep a water bowl by the door, and many cafés around Newquay, Padstow and the harbourside towns happily seat dogs inside and out.
